Biography

FORM was a speed orientated Heavy Metal act founded initially under the SPEEDICA banner by erstwhile ANGER personnel, guitarists Raymond C., bassist Raymond Heijdendael and drummer Pierre Heijdendael. As such, the group first performed live on 5th October 1986 at the 'Amateurpop' festival in Bartok-Born. Another ANGER guitarist, Henk Hamers, enrolled in 1987. That same year the MENACY and BOONDOGGLE credited Hans Reinders was acquired as lead vocalist. A further change saw the introduction of guitarist MARCEL COENEN in 1988.

A slew of demo recordings then ensued, 'Metal In Rocks' in 1989, 'Voyage Into The Fifth Dimension' in 1990 plus 'Shadows Of Tomorrow' and 'Speedilypassinggreengod' both issued in 1991, culminating in the album 'I Choose My Own' issued through Belgian label Mausoleum Records in 1994. Another album, 'Shock Corridor', was released via HP Music in the year 2000.

FORM guitarist MARCEL COENEN would go on to enjoy a high profile with SUN CAGED, FIFTH and LEMUR VOICE as well as issuing solo product. Coenen would also session for HUBI MEISEL and guest on the 2004 MISTHERIA album 'Messenger Of The Gods'. Drummer Spike would also feature in FIFTH, STORMRIDER and CALLENISH CIRCLE. Another FORM guitarist, Danny Tunker, joined FUELBLOODED. Other musicians with FORM credentials included vocalist Nick Hameury of FIFTH, SUN CAGED and LEMUR VOICE and guitarist Rene Rokx from CHEMICAL BREATH, CALLENISH CIRCLE and STORMRIDER.
