Beirut Black Metal act KAOTEON ("Kaotik Eon") was initiated during 1998 by guitarist Anthony Kaoteon, with singer Walid joining in 2000. With the induction of drummer Riad in 2003 the trio cut the opening demo 'Provenance Of Hatred'. This session subsequently saw a commercial release through the US imprint Unsung Heroes Records. KAOTEON would also contribute the track 'Decrepitude' to the 2004 compilation album 'Lehahel Metal Compilation Volume 1: The Total Sound Of The Underground'.

KAOTEON would employ an international cast of session drummers comprising Frenchman Romain Goulon (a.k.a. 'Orifist') of AGRESSOR, DISHARMONY, IMPERIAL SODOMY, BELEF and KRYSALYD with Canadian Lincoln, from PARIAH, MEATLOCKER SEVEN and SELF INFLICTED.
