Discordant, technical echnical Death Metal. Tokyo's DEFILED, manifested during 1992, issuing a brace of demos then debuted commercially in 1994 with the 'Defeat Of Sanity' EP for Bizarre Records. DEFILED secured the support slot for the 1996 CANNIBAL CORPSE Japanese tour and followed this achievement with gigs opening for visiting Western artists such as ARCH ENEMY, TESTAMENT, VADER and MORBID ANGEL. US touring had the band locked in with INCANTATION.

1999's 'Erupted Wrath' album, recorded for Terrorizer Records, saw production duties delegated to Brian Griffin of BROKEN HOPE and EM SINPHONIA. For these sessions the band travelled to Quali-Tone Studios in Chicago whilst the final product was mixed by Jim Morris at the Death Metal Mecca of Morris Sound Studios in Florida. That same year marked DEFILED as Japan's first band ever to play North America's 'Milwaukee Metalfest' and 'New Jersey Metal Meltdown' events. Road work in 2000 had DEFILED partnered with DEMENTOR for a three week European run as well as gigs across Canada, Korea and Malaysia.

The 2001 album 'Ugliness Revealed', released via Baphomet Records, saw Naoki Akamatsu on the drums, subsequently replaced by Yuichi Ishiguro for 2003's 'Divination' released by the French Season Of Mist label.

DEFILED united with Norwegian Black Metal elite outfit MAYHEM and Polish act DECAPITATED for a European tour commencing early April 2004. In late 2005 DEFILED underwent a drastic line-up change, with only guitarist Yusuke Sumita remaining musician from the group's previous formation. The three new charges would comprise singer Kenji Sato, bass player Haruhisa Takahata and Tadashi Kurihara on drums.
