SONS OF SEASONS is a Progressive / Symphonic Metal act formulated during January 2007 by keyboard player Oliver Palotai, of CIRCLE II CIRCLE, KAMELOT, DORO and BLAZE, drummer Daniel Schild, of BLAZE, guitarist Luca Princiotta, also of BLAZE, erstwhile HEADSTONE bassist Jürgen Steinmetz with Tijs Vanneste of Belgium's OCEANS OF SADNESS on vocals. Subsequently FIREWIND and METALIUM credited Henning Basse took over on vocals.

Album recordings entitled 'Gods Of Vermin' held in July 2008, for Austrian label Napalm Records, featured EPICA singer Simone Simons as session guest.'Gods Of Vermin' saw release in April 2009. A limited edition digipack boasted different artwork with a bonus track 'Melanchorium'.
