Rimini based Black Metal. In mid 2004 HORTUS ANIMAE members drummer Diego 'Grom' Meraviglia and Amon 418 (a.k.a. Fabio Bartoloni) announced the arrival of their "cold, eerie and chaotic" Black Metal venture HATE PROFILE, this union spawning the album 'Opus I: The Khaos Hatefile', recorded at Alpha-Omega Studios, through Era Vulgaris Musick. Although this manifestation was to be the first public outing under the HATE PROFILE branding, Amon 418 had actually been crafting tracks on a solo basis since 1998.

Meraviglia is a renowned session man having appeared on albums from ANCIENT, PSYCHORDER and DOOMSWORD. Amon 418, ex-of BARATRO, also operates technical Death Metal side venture OPPOSITE SIDES. In actual fact, HATE PROFILE had been initiated as far back as 1998 as an underground solo concern of Amon 418.

In January 2005 HATE PROFILE announced a split release, including a cover version of SATYRICON's 'Forhekset', to be shared with DEFIXIO, with Grom to handle drums for both artists. 'Opus I: The Khaos Hatefile' arrived in December 2005 via Cruz del Sur Music.

Drummer m:A FOG, of BLACK FLAME, JANVS, SLAVIA, ex-DISIPLIN and GLORIOR BELLI, joined HATE PROFILE late 2008. HATE PROFILE entered One Voice Studio in Turin in April 2009 to begin recording the album 'Opus II: The Soul Proceeds'.  The sessions were completed at Amon 418's Hidden Sun studio then mixed and mastered at Studio 73 with R. Pasini
