A Naples based Power Metal band that included erstwhile STORMWIND guitarist Marco Ruggeriero in the ranks. LANDGUARD would bow in with the 1998 demo 'The Land Of The Nymphs'. Apparently the band cut a 1999 album for the Underground Symphony label dubbed 'The Manuscript Of Helgwar' but information on this release is conflicting.

Both Ruggeriero and vocalist Michele Sorrentino would join fellow Metal band NAMELESS CRIME in 1999. LANDGUARD would persevere, drafing Marco Mangiapia on vocals and Claudio Acampora on the guitar. The album 'Eden Of A Parallel Dimension, issued in 2001, would be followed up by demos 'A Perpetual Game' in 2002 and 'Metamorphosis' in 2003.

LANDGUARD members vocalist Marco Mangiapia, guitarists Armando Scala and Claudio Acampora, keyboard player Raffaele "Lello" Acampa and drummer Walter Montone founded side project AXIOM in 2004, issuing the album 'A Moment Of Insanity' was issued through Rising Works.
