THE BLIZZARD

Members

Biography

Milan Heavy Metal band THE BLIZZARD was forged by vocalist Paola Monti, guitarist Stefano Zuccala and bass player Federico Nosetto. In March of 2000 drummer Paolo Belloni enrolled but would depart after less than a month. A replacement would be found in Nicolò Pizzigoni as THE BLIZZARD expanded with the addition of rhythm guitarist Benedetta Borciani. However, before the year was out Borciani was substituted by Riccardo Lazzari. In this formation the band debuted live on the 16th May at the Sir James Henderson School of Milan.

University obligations forced Lazzari out in October, being replaced by Filippo Pizzigoni. For live work THE BLIZZARD temporarily pulled in singer Luciana Fabris as Monto was suffering from throat problems.

THE BLIZZARD's June 2004 self-titled demo was recorded by NU-MANA guitarist Gianluca Gigliotti at Massive Arts Studios. The 'Perpetual Blizzard' session followed in February 2005. A further new addition saw Stefano Gasparini replacing Pizzigoni whilst Michele Meda took over on drums.
