MOONLIGHT CIRCUS feature BLACK JESTER members guitarist Paulo Viani and drummer Alberto Masiero alongside HELREIDH keyboard player Daniele Soravia and EPICA and DARK LORD vocalist Allessandro Zecchi. In November of 2001 MOONLIGHT CIRCUS parted ways with Zecchi. A new vocalist would swiftly be inducted in the form of Massimo Zannata (a.k.a. Max Zhena) of ASHENT.

Both Viani and Soravia would be hastily enrolled into the live ranks of the famed U.S. Power Metal act WARLORD for a one off performance at the German 'Wacken Open Air' festival in August of 2002. The guitarist also figured in the Progressive Metal band MAEVE OF CONNACHT. That November MOONLIGHT CIRCUS underwent further changes as HELREIDH and ONEYROS man Salvatore Bonaccorso was drafted on drums.

In 2004, as MOONLIGHT CIRCUS signed a two album deal with the Black Lotus label, Daniele Soravia was drafted as keyboard player for CANS, the solo band assembled by HAMMERFALL singer Joachim Cans.
