KHYMERA is an AOR pot pourri project assembled by EMPTY TREMOR and GENIUS guitar player DANIELE LIVERANI and drummer Dario Ciccioni. The debut album would score heavily on the points scale for having lead vocals sessioned by STEVE WALSH of KANSAS and STREETS fame. The songs collected for the 2003 album would prove of great curiosity value including two tracks previously recorded by MR. BIG for the 'Navy Seals' soundtrack, the Giorgio Moroder penned 'Strike Like Lightning' and 'Shadows' alongside no less than four tunes penned by SURVIVOR guitarist JIM PETERIK with 'Living With A Memory', 'Say It With Love', 'Tears On The Page' and 'Aftertouch'. Also featured were two WINGER compositions 'Without Warning' and 'Written In The Wind' and a HARDLINE track 'Love Leads The Way', originally included as a Japanese bonus cut for the 'Double Eclipse' album. The MECCA duo of Joe Vana and Thom Griffin would supply backing session vocals.

Liverani and Ciccioni also operated MAINDREAM, a covers band established in 2002, notably including the then thirteen year old guitarist Tommaso Ermolli plus bassist Alberto Rigoni. MAINDREAM performed covers by the likes of VAN HALEN, MR. BIG, RACER X and EXTREME. All four members of this act also recorded demos billed as TWINSPIRIT.

Daniele Liverani, working with PINK CREAM 69 bassist Dennis Ward as producer and lead vocals with drummer Dario Ciccioni handling drums, commenced recordings for a fresh KHYMERA album 'A New Promise' in the latter half of 2004. Guitars on this album would be cut by the sixteen year old Tommy Ermolli. Once again the record comprised tracks from outside songwriters such as the ex-SUGARTOWN sibling duo of Tom and James Martin, JEFF SCOTT SOTO, Don Barnes and Robin and Judithe Randall.

KHYMERA pre-production for a third album took place during October 2006. This time around the entire body of material was penned by Tom and James Martin.
