A hugely ambitious 'Rock Opera' conceived and mentored by EMPTY TREMOR and KHYMERA guitar player DANIELE LIVERANI. The October 2002 debut was released by Frontiers Records. A massive wealth of global Rock talent was on hand to perform the parts of individual characters to tell the tale of the 'Genius' character's journey. Participating would be RING OF FIRE and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN man MARK BOALS cast as 'Genius', LANA LANE as the 'Doorkeeper', PAIN OF SALVATION's Daniel Gildenlow portraying "TwinSpirit n. 32", GRAVE DIGGER frontman Chris Boltendahl as the 'Stationmaster', Joe Vana of MECCA as "King McChaos Consultant", STEVE WALSH of KANSAS fame as "Wild Tribe King", the veteran JOHN WETTON as "McChaos King", Oliver Hartmann from German Metal band AT VANCE and solo combo HARTMANN as "Wild Tribe Consultant" and ex-CRIMSON GLORY vocalist Midnight as "Maindream". Other inclusions saw Philip Bynoe of the STEVE VAI band and RING OF FIRE playing "The Storyteller", and DREAMTIDE's Olaf Senkbeil. Drums would be in the capable hands of Dario Ciccioni.

In that same year of release Liverani would also be operational with TWINSPIRITS, this unit including the then thirteen year old guitarist Tommaso Ermolli and the KHYMERA and HARTMANN credited drummer Dario Ciccioni. They would later be joined by bassist Alberto Rigoni. All four members also proved active on the covers scene billed as MAINDREAM.

A sophomore 2004 GENIUS release, 'In Search of The Little Prince', would also boast a leviathan cast list. Reprising their roles would be RING OF FIRE's MARK BOALS as "Genius" and Daniel Gildenlow from PAIN OF SALVATION as "Twinspirit n. 32". Also featured would be ERIC MARTIN as "Niko", SYMPHONY X frontman Russell Allen as 'Dream League Commander', Johnny Gioeli of HARDLINE and AXEL RUDI PELL as "Sultan Oddyfer"; Rob Tyrant of LABYRINTH as "Oddyfer Guard", Jeff Martin of RACER X, UFO, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP and BADLANDS repute as "Seventree", ANGRA's Edu Falaschi as "Jason"; former THEATRE OF TRAGEDY chanteuse LIV KRISTINE as "Klepsydra", Philip Bynoe from RING OF FIRE as " Storyteller" and EMPTY TREMOR man OLIVER HARTMANN on choirs.

A third, and final, chapter of Daniele Liverani's GENIUS epic was recorded throughout 2006 entitled 'The Final Surprise'. Casting involved DC COOPER of SILENT FORCE and ROYAL HUNT, Daniel Gildenlöw from PAIN OF SALVATION, JORN LANDE, ERIC MARTIN, Andrea Dätwyler of LUNATICA and Toby Hitchcock from PRIDE OF LIONS. Dario Ciccioni handled drums again.
