Biography

Aosta based technical Death Metal band ILLOGICIST was manifested in the Summer of 1997 by guitarist Luca Minieri and drummer Remy Curtaz. Initial recording sessions, the 'Polymorphism Of Death' demos of February 2002 recorded at One Voice Studio with producer Daniele Giordana, were crafted with the core duo expanding to incorporate bassist Roberto Zeppa and former NEFARIUM guitarist Fabio Filippone. However, upon completion of these tracks both Zeppa and Filippone opted out and ILLOGICIST duly drafted Diego Ambrosi on guitar and Emilio Dattolo to handle bass.

The band utilised One Voice Studio once again at the end of October 2002 for the recording of a new EP entitled 'Dissonant Perspectives'. This scored a deal with US label Crash Music Inc. Curtaz exited briefly, but returned to cut the album 'Subjected', laid down at the band's own Dissonant Studios but mixed at the fabled Finnvox Studios in Helsinki by master engineers Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila. The album surfaced in July 2004. Live work to promote this opus saw the introduction of new drummer Sergio Ponti. Projecting a new album to be recorded in November 2005 ILLOGICIST severed ties with Crash Music Inc.

The group announced signature with Willowtip Records in November 2006. Marco Minnemann laid down session drums for new album recordings.
