Biography
ETERNAL GRAY operated in their formative years under the title BETRAYER. This Death Metal outfit last performed live in the summer of 2001 as support to ROTTING CHRIST but soon after the core members regrouped as ETERNAL GRAY. The 'Kindless' album was recorded in Sweden with Tommy TÃĪgtgren acting as producer. The band revealed recording during 2003 of a second outing 'Your Gods, My Enemies' would include the talents of SCARVE drummer Dirk Verbeuren and even MORBID ANGEL frontman Steve Tucker.
The band severed ties with singer Eyal Glottman in April of 2004. As a trio of guitarist / keyboard player Dory Bar-Or, bassist Gil Ben-Ya'akov and drummer Roy Hen ETERNAL GRAY cut the EP 'Deeds Of Hate', restricting this to a thousand hand numbered copies.
The band, inaugurating ABED drummer Dror Goldstein and session guitarist Auria Sapir of MATRICIDE, donated their rendition of 'Blinded By Fear' to the AT THE GATES tribute album, 'Slaughterous Souls - A Tribute to At The Gates' released in September 2004 through Drowned Scream Records.
ETERNAL GRAY enrolled a triumvirate of players in January 2005, vocalist Oren Balbus, guitarist Auria Sapir and drummer Dror Goldstein. An EP, to be titled 'Numb', was recorded but never issued due to membership problems. The group announced fresh album recordings had commenced in early March 2007.
