Biography

A Bluesy Hard Rock outfit put together by Adrian Vandenberg, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge following the break up of the multi platinum WHITESNAKE. . The trio's output even prior to their high profile WHITESNAKE stint was notable with the Sarzo / Aldridge rhythm axis having made its name with OZZY OSBOURNE. Sarzo had come to the fore with QUIET RIOT whilst Aldridge's pedigree included work with BLACK OAK ARKANSAS, PAT TRAVERS and GARY MOORE. Dutchman Adrian Vandenberg had made his mark with his own act VANDENBERG.

The instrumental trio originally began working with former HOUSE OF LORDS vocalist JAMES CHRISTIAN and had already begun writing together after negotiating a Japanese record deal before Christian quit. The singer was reportedly unhappy at the direction the group was going towards, feeling that it was merely WHITESNAKE with himself on vocals in place of DAVID COVERDALE. Eventually, the trio settled on ex LITTLE CAESAR vocalist Ron Young to replace the departed frontman.

Although the band intended to tour Europe, following the release of the album on the continent by the French label CNR Music, the only live appearances undertaken were a series of acoustic sets in record stores owned by the FNAC chain in France. Adrian Vandenberg quit soon afterwards to resume his writing partnership with DAVID COVERDALE for a final WHITESNAKE album, eventually released in 1997. Young founded DIRT.

By 2002 Sarzo was re-ensconced in QUIET RIOT, Tommy Aldridge was behind the kit of TED NUGENT's band and Vandenberg was in the throes of reconstituting VANDENBERG.
