Athens Speed Metal band founded in 1994 by guitarists Vassilis Koumroglou and Costa Kritsalos. The original incarnation of the band included vocalist Harry P., bass player Orestis K., keyboard player Sylva and drummer Kosta Exarhakos. For a short period the band operated with singer John Stefanis. VERDICT issued the oddly titled '3rd Alternative The Name' demo during 1997. The band's line up for these recordings comprised Koumroglou on vocals and guitar, Kritsalos on guitar, Dennis Seferlis on bass, Nick Marignias on keyboards with Exarchakos maintaining his position on the drums.

In January of 1999 VERDICT folded. A further demo, 'Coming While You Sleep', arrived in 2001 delivered by an all new VERDICT line up. Jim Roubelas took over the drum stool upon completion of these recordings. Drummer Kostas Exarhakos subsequently joined JERICHO and Progressive Metal band AGNOSIA.
