Biography

A Perama, Athens based Black Metal act with an acknowledged raw 'Norwegian' persuasion. ENSHADOWED, previously entitled SACRIFICIAL, bowed in with the September 1998 'Dethroned' promotion release as a trio of vocalist / drummer Impaled, guitarist Necrotormentor and VOMIT CHURCH bassist / keyboard player Lord Acheron. Band mentor Necrotormentor has association with an array of extreme Metal bands including BURIAL HORDES, HELLMIGHT, MERCILESS CRUCIFIXION, MOURNFUL NIGHT, RESPAWN THE PLAGUE, SKILTRON N.V. 101, SUICIDAL FORMS ELITE and VOMIT CHURCH.

Under a new guise of NOCTERNITY ENSHADOWED the 'Reign Of Terror' demo arrived in March 1999 followed by the more up tempo 2000 'Cremation Odes' effort. This latter recording found the band with Necrotormentor now joined by lead vocalist Nocturnal, bassist Lecherous and drummer Grahelm. Still billed as NOCTERNITY ENSHADOWED the band morphed yet again for an eponymous demo with new recruits vocalist Goriel and bass player Draenzarth.

The band truncated their title to simply ENSHADOWED for the 2002 album release 'Messengers Of The Darkest Dawn' issued by the Black Lotus label. The band was subsequently credited with yet another revised roster of mainstay Necrotormentor, Snegodron on vocals, rhythm guitarist Psychaos, bass player Diastropheus and drummer V.Lastnemesis. Black Lotus released the follow up album, 'Intensity' recorded at Wave Productions Studio, during 2003.

In 2005 Brazilian label Goat Music Records compiled early demos for the limited edition cassette release 'Awaken The Undead'. Alastor Rex issued a live demo, 'Dressed In Blood - Live Ritual' recorded at the AN Club in Athens on October 16th 2005, in June 2006. Included would be a cover version of MARDUK's 'Panzer Division Marduk'. That year ENSHADOWED, working on a third album entitled 'Sphygmous Omega', quoted a line-up involving a trio of vocalist / guitarist Necrotormentor, bass player Golgotha and drummer Warblast. For live work the band employed guitarist S.K. from CROSS DENIED.

Product announced for 2006 included a projected split release in alliance with THORNSPAWN and a further split outing, a 7" single 'Nekrosimon - The Art Ov Blasphemies', shared with Malaysia's MANTAK on Deathrash Armageddon Records. Stronghold-Riaphora Records also planned a double vinyl album re-release of 'Messengers Of The Darkest Dawn' adding bonus tracks in a BATHORY cover version 'The Rite Of Darkness' and a rendition of VON's 'Satanic Blood'.
