Biography

INNERWISH was created in October of 1995 by vocalist Yiannis Papanikolaou and guitar player Thimios Krikos, soon after adding second guitarist Manolis Tsigos. This trio recorded nine tracks commencing June of 1997 at 111 Sound studios in Athens and debuted in May of 1998 with the self financed 'Waiting For The Dawn' album. Live dates saw INNERWISH performing with the rhythm section of bassist Levenderis Alexis and drummer Balatsoukas Pavlos. However, a drastic overhaul of the band's membership saw the exit of three members and the recruitment of singer Mylonas Panagiotis, bass player Mazarakis Antonis and drummer Giannakopoulos Fotis.

The follow up, March 2001's 'Realms Of The Night', would be a split release shared with REFLECTION. Successive live appearances across Greece found the band acting as openers to the likes of U.D.O., VALLEY'S EVE, THERION, BRAINSTORM and ANATHEMA. Two new members, Babis Alexandropoulos on vocals and Terry Moros on drums, were to augment the band in 2002. INNERWISH signed to Germany's Limb Music Products for the 2004 album 'Silent Faces'.

INNERWISH cut a new album, 'The Final Prophecy' recorded at the Music Factory Studios with producer R.D. Liapakis, for release in May 2006.
