Biography

DREAM DEVOID is an Athens based Power Metal act unafraid to use sheer speed to ram their point home. The group was conceived in July of 1993 by bass player Panos Argyriou and guitarist Liberis Tsabras. The band would have a fluid line up until January of 1997 when guitarist Akis Triantafillou and vocalist Dimitris Zalahoris were enrolled. Drummer Kostas Agouras, on loan from DISHARMONY, would session for the band on their opening 'Nebulous' demo of May 1997. DREAM DEVOID would also have the track 'Consequent Sin' included on the Metal Invader magazine compilation 'Warzone II'.

In 1998 Fotis Giannakopoulos was inducted on the drum stool and Panagiotis Mylonas assumed keyboard duties. With this line up DREAM DEVOID laid down their debut album 'Aeons Of Forget Fullness' for the Steel Gallery label.

Post recording Zalohoris disembarked but guitarist Vasilis Krilakis was drafted. DREAM DEVOID maintained a low profile during much of 2001 in main due to Tsabras' national service army service. In October of 2002 Dimitris Tsakmakis was drafted on lead guitar and in January of the following year Stavros Giannakopoulos assumed lead vocal duties with Vaggelis Theodorakis enrolling on keyboards that March. With this line up DREAM DEVOID performed at the 'Paranoid Hellenic Metal Fest' concert, the band's first live gig in almost three years. Activity thereafter would be behind the scenes and DREAM DEVOID re-emerged in February of 2004 with an all new look, new personnel being vocalist Alex Siderakos, ex-MIDNIGHT SCREAM guitar player Jim Tsakmakis and Antonis Kolaros on the drums.
