Biography

X WILD was formed by three ex-RUNNING WILD members together with former INSECTOCUTOR vocalist Frank Knight. Bassist Jens Becker had also had a stint with CROSSROADS. Whilst drummer Stefan Schwarzmann had also enjoyed a stint with U.D.O. None too surprisingly the 1994 debut 'So What?' bears a marked resemblance to RUNNING WILD.

X WILD toured Germany as support to their sophomore outing 'Monster Effect' but following completion of the dates Schwarzmann departed to found Punk act DIE SUICIDE. The drummer was also to collaborate with ex-ACCEPT vocalist Udo Dirkschneider joining his U.D.O. band for a second time.

X WILD's last offering 'Savage Land', based upon a concept theme of Knight's, saw ex-MENDACIOUS MESSIAH, LIVING DEATH and GRAVE DIGGER drummer Frank Ulrich in the fold.

In 1997 Becker joined GRAVE DIGGER bringing with him the concept for their 'Knights Of The Cross' renaissance record. Vocalist Frank Knight would by the turn of the millennium be fronting a rejuvenated NWoBHM legend BUFFALO. Schwarzmann teamed up with ACCEPT in 2005 then joined the live band of fabled ex-SCORPIONS guitarist ULI JON ROTH for live work later that year. In 2006 Stefan Schwarzmann joined Swiss veterans KROKUS.
