RED CIRCUIT was hailed as a "Progressive Metal Supergroup". The band, fronted by the Sri Lankan born AVALON, FARO, MOONLIGHT AGONY and FIREWIND credited singer Chitral Somapala was co-instigated by ex-SHEELA man Markus Teske, known as producer for acts such as VANDEN PLAS, MOB RULES and SYMPHONY X amongst many others. Guest musicians included French guitarist PATRICK RONDAT from ELEGY, Stephen Lill of VANDEN PLAS and ADAGIO's Stephen Forte. The February 2006 album, 'Trance State', was co-produced by VANDEN PLAS vocalist Andy Kuntz.

In March 2006 Somapala announced the formation of a new "atmospheric, bone-crushing power metal" band called CIVILIZATION ONE. Here he would be joined by an international roster of players comprising guitarist Aldo Lanobile of SECRET SPHERE, bassist Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson of HEAVENLY and MALADAPTIVE, the SHADRANE and LALU credited Vivian Lalu on keyboards plus Luca Cartasegna, from MORTUARY DRAPE and SECRET SPHERE on drums. Chitral Somapala joined DOMAIN in November 2006.
