Biography

Another in the long line of post millennium European project concept albums, founded during 2000 and oddly titled after the Latin for 'Dandelion'. TARAXACUM's 'Spirit Of Freedom's opus was conceived by EDGUY man Tobias Exxel. The album drew in the talents of STEEL PROPHET vocalist Rick Mythiasin, ROUGH SILK and AXEL RUDI PELL keyboard player FERDY DOERNBERG, his EDGUY colleague Felix Bohnke on drums and erstwhile SQUEALER man Frank Wolf also on drums. The whole affair was mixed in the studio by GAMMA RAY men Kai Hansen and Dirk Schlächter.

Rick Mythiasin made his exit from STEEL PROPHET to concentrate solely on TARAXACUM during July of 2002. However, by September, and despite breaking his leg in three places whilst trying to perform a handstand (!), Mythiasin had also enrolled with NEW EDEN for their 'Stagnant Progression'.

TARAXACUM incorporated HAGGARD guitarist Danny Klupp in January of 2003 for a new Tobias Exxel produced album 'Rainmaker'.
