Biography

Describing themselves as "Beer drinkin', whiskey slammin', hotel trashin'; chick bangin' - kick ass Rock n' Roll" PUMP, founded in February of 2002, deliver eighties melodic Hard Rock. Frontman Marcus Jürgens is ex-BRAINSTORM and KASHMYR whilst guitarist Ullrich Simon Hauff is ex-ARIA and BLACK DEMON. Lead guitarist cites credits with HAZY SHADE, CHYMERA, WHITE COATS and HOTLINE. Drummer Achim Keller is also active with SANVOISEN and FATE OF NATIONS.

The band supported both DOKKEN and HAREM SCAREM in Germany during 2002. PUMP's 2003 album 'Against Everyone's Advice' was produced by Tommy Newton of VICTORY. The band acted as openers for AXEL RUDI PELL's May / April 2004 European tour and also put in a brace of supports to QUEENSRYCHE. For live work the band employed CITIZEN KANE and SAIDIAN guitarist Rodrigo Blattert.

Progress was maintained as the band contracted a multi-album deal with the Metal Heaven label, entering Area 51 studios in July with producer Tommy Newton once again to record their somophore album 'Breakdown To Breakthrough'.

In March 2006 drummer Achim Keller left the band to join the reformed VICTORY.
