Biography

BISS was heralded the return to the fore of erstwhile VICTORY vocalist Fernando Garcia. Joining him in the BISS project, rooted in Münster, Germany, would be German guitarist Ralf 'Doc' Heyne, mentor of the entire project and a veteran campaigner of MAD MAX and TANNER. The debut BISS album, produced by Heyne's former MAD MAX colleague Michael Voss but better known for his more recent membership of BONFIRE, CASANOVA and DEMON DRIVE, arrived in 2002 on the German Point Music label. The album included a cover version of FALCO's 'Rock Me Amadeus'. To promote the record, European dates were projected with BONFIRE but on the eve of these shows Garcia exited in rather acrimonious circumstances.

Doc Heyne pulled together a guest collaborative effort for recording of a second BISS album 'Joker In The Deck', released in 2003, enlisting the services of lead vocalist MICHAEL BORMANN of JADED HEART and RAIN, former VENGEANCE bassist Barend Curbois and Jos Zoomer of VANDENBERG repute on drums. PAUL SABU would feature as guest on the opening track 'Dogfighter'.

A third BISS outing would usher in a third singer too, the high profile figure of KROKUS frontman Marc Storace taking up the role. 'Face Off', released in May 2005, was duly recorded at Barfly Studios in Münster with Michael Voss once again handling production duties. BISS returned again in 2006 with the 'Xtension' album, once more fronted by Marc Storace. Featured tracks would be 'Blood On Sand', co-written by Mat Sinner of SINNER and PRIMAL FEAR, plus a cover version of HEART's 'Barracuda'.
