Band formed by the veteran JANE founder Klaus Hess. When JANE's drummer Peter Panka opted to resurrect the band titled PETER PANKA's JANE for the 1996 album 'Resurrection' Hess hit back with KLAUS HESS JANE. This act was sensibly retitled shortly after to become MOTHER JANE.

All the other members of MOTHER JANE have had stints in JANE in the band's later years.

A 1998 7" single was issued limited to 500 copies prior to the 2000 live album.
