Biography

SILENT FORCE was the union of former ROYAL HUNT vocalist D.C. COOPER and guitarist Alex Beyroth. Beyroth (often known as 'Beyrodt') is credited with past endeavours such as WILD AXIS, SHORTINO, SINNER and THE SYGNET. When initially announced the band went under the title ALLIED FORCES. The initial line-up on the debut 2000 album 'The Empire Of The Future' also included bassist Fleisch, keyboard player Thorsten Rohre and drummer André Hilgers, the latter a former member of MENDACIOUS MESSIAH, VANIZE and THE SYGNET.

To promote the album Cooper and Beyroth undertook a short series of acoustic shows in Japan. Fleisch would lose his place to ex HEADSTONE EPITAPH bassist Jurgen Steinmetz upfront of December gigs in Europe sharing billing with HEAVENLY and STRATOVARIUS.

The 2001 album 'Infatuator' would include a cover version of JUDAS PRIEST's 'All Guns Blazing'.

2002 would also bring about an adventurous 'Rock Opera' project as a result of an alliance between SILENT FORCE members vocalist D.C. COOPER and guitarist Alex Beyroth together with personnel from PINK CREAM 69 and VANDEN PLAS. The Dennis Ward produced endeavour, entitled, MISSA MERCURIA, had lyrics penned by Cooper with music contributed by Beyroth, PINK CREAM 69's Alfred Koffler and the VANDEN PLAS duo of Günter Werno and Stephan Lill. Musicians sessioning numbered Beyroth on guitar, VANDEN PLAS men Stephan Lill on guitar and Günter Werno on keyboards as well as PINK CREAM 69ers Alfred Koffler, Andreas Lill, and Dennis Ward. D.C. COOPER would aid on lead vocals portraying the character of 'Firegod' whilst 'Airgod' was handled by Andy Kuntz of VANDEN PLAS, Sabine Edelsbacher of EDENBRIDGE as the 'Water goddess', Lori Williams playing the 'Earth goddess', Isolde Groß as 'Mercuria' and PINK CREAM 69's David Readman provided narration.

Upfront of SILENT FORCE's appearance at the Atlanta, Georgia 'ProgPower' festival the band undertook a short spate of European headliners in November supported by GB ARTS. Still maintaining his SILENT FORCE role, in February of 2004 Cooper established a fresh project entitled ALFA-DOG with guitarist Gary Wehrkamp of SHADOW GALLERY and drummer Mark Zonder of FATES WARNING repute. In October SILENT FORCE guitarist Alex Beyrodt embarked upon a guitar clinic tour of Oklahoma and Texas. SILENT FORCE acted as support act to KAMELOT's April 2005 Japanese dates. Drummer Andre Hilgers joined RAZORBACK in mid 2005.

In October SILENT FORCE contracted with Germany's AFM Records and Japan's King Records for fresh product, shortly afterward working with producer Dennis Ward at House of Music Studio in Winterbach on a new album entitled 'Walk The Earth'. Beyroth also sessioned on fellow German Heavy Metal band CODE OF PERFECTION's debut album 'Last Exit For The Lost'.

In December 2005 D.C. COOPER guested for Greek Electronica Metal band DOL AMMAD's new album recordings, featuring on the track 'Aquatic Majesty'. Beyroth contributed guest guitar work to PINK CREAM 69 frontman DAVID READMAN's 2006 debut solo opus. Drummer André Hilgers joined RAGE in late 2006.

Cooper also involved himself in a further alliance, AMARAN'S PLIGHT, a project featuring vocalist guitarist Gary Wehrkamp, of SHADOW GALLERY, bassist Kurt Barabas, from UNDER THE SUN, and drummer Nick D'Virgilio, of SPOCK'S BEARD.

In September 2008 AFM Records announced the signing of guitarist Alex Beyrodt's latest band project VOODOO CIRCLE. He would be joined on the eponymous album by singer David Readman, of PINK CREAM 69, bassist Mat Sinner, of SINNER and PRIMAL FEAR, drummer Mel Gaynor, citing credits with SIMPLE MINDS, GARY MOORE, BRIAN MAY and SAMSON plus keyboard player Jimmy Kresic.
