Previously known as GRINDER, this Frankfurt am Main, Hesse Heavy Metal outfit formed as CAPRICORN in 1991. Following the debut album, the eponymous 1993 effort through Shark Records, CAPRICORN supported GRAVEDIGGER on a German tour.

Frontman Adrian Ergün guested on the 1996 album from CRASH MUSEUM. Ergün would create NEMESIS for an eponymous 1997 album in collusion with guitarist Axel Katzmann and Arnulf Tunn of TANKARD. CAPRICORN persevered by enlisting Adrian Hahn as replacement.

Noise Records issued the second album, 'Inferno', in March 1995. This set included a cover version of TWISTED SISTER's 'You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll'. Japanese versions, on the JVC Victor Entertainment label, added an extra track entitled 'Incredibly Ruined'.
