Hamburg Power Metal act led by ex-IVANHOE and present day BRAINSTORM frontman Andreas B. Franck. The group debuted for Noise Records in 1999 with the 'Truth To Promises', at this stage having a line-up of Franck, guitarist Stef Bertolla, bassist Mike Hammer, keyboard player H.P. Walter and drummer Stefan Köllner. Cedric Dupont had supplanted Bertolla by the time of the 2000 'Sinctuary' follow up, overall praised as a significant improvement on the opening effort.

Guitarist Cedric Dupont of SYMPHORCE would supplant Sascha Gerstner in FREEDOM CALL during September 2001. The six stringer would maintain a foot in both camps. For their third album SYMPHORCE signed up to the Metal Blade album, releasing the Achim Köhler produced 'Phorcefulahead' during October 2002.

Drummer Stefan Köllner joined the veteran act DOMAIN in mid 2003. SYMPHORCE united with GRAVE DIGGER and WIZARD for European shows in January of 2004 to promote the 'Twice Second' album, this outing seeing the addition of second guitarist Markus Pohl, of VALLEY'S EVE, and drummer Sascha Sauer. That Spring vocalist Andy B. Franck and guitarist Cede Dupont would both guest on recordings by Brazilian band SAGITTA. Noteable live dates that Summer for SYMPHORCE included appearances at the German 'Himmel Open Air' event, 'Metal Mania Open Air' in Slovenia, the 'Raismes Festival' in France and 'Progpower Europe' held in Holland during October.

Guitarist Markus Pohl joined the ranks of MYSTIC PROPHECY in February of 2005. In April SYMPHORCE filmed their performance at the 'Ruhrpott Rocks' festival for a DVD release. A studio album, 'Godspeed', would also be in the works. With SYMPORCE activities taking priority, Cedric Dupont relinquished his position in FREEDOM CALL.

SYMPHORCE announced the addition of drummer Steffen Theurer to the group's ranks in August 2006. That same month the band worked on new album 'Become Death' at House of Music studios in Winterach, Germany with producer Dennis Ward. Alex Beyrodt joined PINK CREAM 69 singer DAVID READMAN's solo live band for touring across Germany in November and December 2006. Metal Blade issued 'Become Death' in February 2007.

In 2008 Credric Dupont created the side project act DOWNSPIRIT.
