GODDESS SHIVA is a 2006 resurrection of SHIVA, a formative act of SINNER mainman Mat Sinner (a.k.a. Mattias Lasch), latterly of PRIMAL FEAR. The band notably supported WHITESNAKE in Ludwigsburg during June 1979 and issued the 'Crossfire' album in 1980. The band reunited for a charity gig on 10th February 2005 at The Röhre venue in Stuttgart seeing Sinner alongside original guitarist Armin Sabol and ATROCITY drummer Martin Schmidt. Another benefit appearance saw SHIVA performing alongside PRIMAL FEAR at the 4th March 'Rock For One World' event in Esslingen.

SHIVA, re-billed as GODDESS SHIVA and comprising Mat Sinner, guitarist Armin Sabol and drummer Martin Schmidt, cut tracks for a new album for Metal Heaven Records during 2006. The album was scheduled for February 2007 release.
