GERMAN ROCK STARS (G.R.S.) was a hastily assembled group culled from the cream of the German Hard Rock scene uniting to create a charity record in aid of the September 11th World Trade Center victims.

The song, 'Wings Of Freedom', was written by DEMON DRIVE's Michael Voss. His many friends all donated their services free of charge many travelling long distances to get to the studio. The contributor roll call numbered Voss, KINGDOM COME's Lenny Wolf, DORO, erstwhile VICTORY vocalist Fernando Garcia, ANDI DERIS of HELLOWEEN, Michael Bormann of JADED HEART, Ralf Scheepers of PRIMAL FEAR, MATT SINNER, Jochen Mayer of DEMON DRIVE, ex H-BLOCKX man Marco Minnemann, Andreas Bruhn from SISTERS OF MERCY and even JEAN BEAUVOIR from CROWN OF THORNS.
