Founded as an 'Art' Rock act during 1990 and debuting with a self financed EP, 'No Better World', in 1992. FACTORY OF ART's debut album, 'Grasp', features guest appearances by Alex Krull of ATROCITY and Chris Boltendahl of GRAVEDIGGER.

The band became known for their Progressive Power Metal style which they mixed with Speed Metal and Thrash.

FACTORY OF ART signed to the CCP Records label for a 2002 concept album 'The Tempter'. The band at this juncture cited lead vocalist Jens Schmikale, guitarists Heiko Flechsig and Joe Heiko Winter, bass player Ronald Losch, keyboard player Ekkehard Meister and drummer Ralph Marcel Dietrich.
