Biography

EDEN'S CURSE is an international melodic Rock outfit initiated during January 2006 by bass player and songwriter Paul Logue, of THE UNLAWFUL, FEAR, WHITE LIGHTNING and CRY HAVOC, and US vocalist Michael Eden. They would soon be joined by a set of well known musicians in THE SHOCK, Paul Dianno's KILLERS and THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND credited drummer Pete Newdeck, German guitarist Thorsten Koehne, of ATTACK, DEMON DRIVE and CODE OF PERFECTION repute, and celebrated keyboard player FERDY DOERNBERG, a veteran holding association with ROYAL HUNT, ROUGH SILK, AXEL RUDI PELL and ULI JON ROTH amongst many others.

With the roster completed by June 2006, preparations for a debut album commenced. Koehne's name had been submitted by his manager Carsten Schulz, current vocalist of EVIDENCE ONE, MIDNITE CLUB and formely of DOMAIN. Logue and Schulz would also be responsible for a significant portion of the songwriting for this first outing. The song 'Eyes Of The World' was co-composed with Robby Boebel of EVIDENCE ONE and FRONTLINE, and had previously been featured on the 2004 album 'Tattooed Heart'. Duties behind the desk, including mixing and mastering, were delegated to PINK CREAM 69 bassist Dennis Ward. There would also be pedigree in evidence on the backing vocals front too, with Carsten Schulz, DAVID READMAN of PINK CREAM 69 and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CORNERSTONE, RAINBOW and MIDNIGHT BLUE man Doogie White all aiding in the studio.

EDEN'S CURSE released an EP, entitled 'Seven Deadly Sins - The Acoustic Sessions', on June 10th 2008 via Metal Mayhem Music. Produced and mixed by Paul Logue and mastered by Dennis Ward, the set featured seven renditions of tracks from the debut album.

'The Second Coming', again produced by Dennis Ward, was released in Japan via Spiritual Beast on 15th October 2008, North America via Metal Mayhem Music on 22nd October and finally in Europe via AFM Records on 24th October. Backing vocals throughout came from TNT and STARBREAKER man Tony Harnell plus the RAINBOW and CORNERSTONE credited Doogie White. Duetting with Michael Eden on the track 'Angels & Demons' was Pamela Moore, best known for her portrayal of Sister Mary on QUEENSRYCHE's 'Operation Mindcrime'. Japanese versions of 'The Second Coming' added a Karaoke version of 'What Are You Waiting For'.

EDEN'S CURSE toured the U.K. and Ireland in May 2009 as the opening act for STRATOVARIUS and FIREWIND. Alessandro Del Vecchio featured as a member of BRUNOROCK on the Bolzano based act's 2009 album 'War Maniacs'.
