Biography

Metal act forged between BLIND GUARDIAN mentor Hansi Kürsch and ICED EARTH's Jon Schaffer. The debut album, recorded during July and August of 1999 at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida and released in January 2000, scored a huge success charting in Germany and even reaching number 1 in the Greek national charts. The Japanese version of the album saw two bonus tracks with an alternate version of 'The Whistler' and a rendition of CREAM's 'White Room'. Producer Jim Morris added extra guitar whilst studio drums would be handled by Mark Prator of ICED EARTH, FISH, AUTODRIVE and MIKE TRAMP repute.

For touring on the European festival circuit DEMONS & WIZARDS drafted ex-SIEGES EVEN bassist Oliver Holzwarth, the 12FLUIDOUNCES credited guitarist Ritchie Wilkinson and the noted CONTROL DENIED and DEATH drummer Richard Christy. Holzwarth later reunited with some of his ex-SIEGES EVEN colleagues to create LOOKING GLASS SELF. In 2001 Wilkinson would join ANGEL DUST for their American tour dates. Christy would feature on the 2001 ICED EARTH album 'Horror Show' and also later featured as a member of high profile project bands TIWANAKU and LEASH LAW.

The ICED EARTH and HALFORD credited Bobby Jarzombek laid down drums for a new DEMONS & WIZARDS album, 'Touched By The Crimson King', in January of 2005. Recorded during these sessions would be a version of LED ZEPPELIN's 'Immigrant Song'. Japanese variants on the JVC Victor label added traditional bonus material in the form of 'Lunar Lament', 'Wicked Witch' (Slow version), 'Spatial Architects' plus the Roger Johansson directed promotional video for 'Terror Train'.
