DEATH BY DAWN is a German based Death Metal combo fronted by the esteemed figure of PESTILENCE, ASPHYX and BOLT THROWER credited vocalist Martin Van Drunen. The parted ways with founding member and guitarist Marcus Schacht, substituting him with erstwhile SUDDEN DEATH man Jens Geldon in March of 2004. The band strengthened the SUDDEN DEATH connections on 2nd October when a gig at the R17 venue at Enkhuizen in Holland marked the introduction of second guitarist Ingo "Fusel" Fussangel.

Early 2005 found Martin Van Drunen and erstwhile PESTILENCE bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling collaborating with KING LOCUST guitarist Niels Drieënhuizen in a new band entitled PROJEKT TABUN. The trio entered Studio Het Lab in Schaarsbergen to put down initial recordings.
