Biography

A studio project of enviable pedigree. CHARADE was fronted up by TAX, JURGEN BLACKMORE, LETTER X and BONFIRE singer MICHAEL BORMANN and featured guitarist Angel Schleifer, of BONFIRE, PRETTY MAIDS and SINNER repute, with another BONFIRE man Joerg Deisinger on bass.

Reportedly the CHARADE material was in fact a collection of unreleased BONFIRE tracks as the prominent erstwhile BONFIRE duo of Claus Lessman and Hans Ziller had won a legal battle claiming rights to the band name and songs. Post CHARADE Bormann went onto JADED HEART and THE SYGNET. He would also issue a solo record. Deisinger was found with SOUL DOCTOR whilst Schleifer maintained his profile with DEMON DRIVE and SABU. The 2001 DEMON DRIVE album 'Rock n' Roll Star' included a remake of the CHARADE song ''You're My Home'.

CHARADE would be back in 2004 with a follow up album 'Charade II' through Drakkar Entertainment on October.
