Biography

The debut 1997 AFFAIR album, issued by by guitarist Bobby Altvater's label Sky Productions, came courtesy of a Japanese release through Bareknuckle Records. The band has a strong BONFIRE connection as contributing musicians include Hans Ziller, Claus Lessman, Angel Schliefer and Jörg Deisinger.

AFFAIR vocalist Peter DeWint previously fronted Belgian acts MYSTERY and OSTROGOTH. Guitarist Bobby Altvater is ex-BAD EDEN, HELTER SKELTER and LOVETRICK. Keyboard player Chris Lausmann has live experience with numerous acts including RAILWAY, BONFIRE, FRONTLINE and ROTTEN ROSE.

AFFAIR's line-up credited for the 2002 'No Substitute' album comprised Peter DeWint, Bobby Altvater, keyboard player Thomas Streck of SERUM, bass player Uwe Köhler, of BONFIRE and BIG APPLE, and drummer Michi Schwager. Bobby Allvater took time out during 2004 to session for the German melodic rock outfit BRUNOROCK.
