Solo projects of ROUGH SILK keyboard player, guitarist and vocalist Ferdy Doernberg. Raised in Barsinghausen, Germany, Doernberg first made a musical impression as lead guitarist with Punk band THE WABBLES, in parallel honing his skills on trumpet and piano with a local Jazz ensemble. He then moved into the Rock field with ROYAL HUNT's formation in 1989.

Although featuring prominently with the high profile ROYAL HUNT, Doernberg's skills were constantly in demand in the session world and the multi-instrumentalist has donated his talents to over 100 albums, including works by ROLAND GRAPOW, DESTRUCTION, FREEDOM CALL, METALIUM, TOM ANGELRIPPER, CRIMSON GLORY, JOHN WESLEY HARDING, CHRIS CAFFREY, POWERGOD, SWEET, JANE, SEVEN WITCHES, SARGANT FURY and MASTERPLAN amongst many, many others. Doernberg also operates his own recording studio, the Droehnwerk at Bad Nenndorf in Germany.

The 1995 album, 'Just A Piano And A Handful Of Dreams' issued through Steamhammer Records, is graced with a whole host of Euro Metal stars including HELLOWEEN men MICHAEL KISKE, Markus Großkopf, Michael Weikath and ROLAND GRAPOW, ex-SARGANT FURY, ZENITH and HATE SQUAD man Bauke De Groot and SARGANT FURY's Heiko Heike.

Doernberg was announced as keyboard player for AXEL RUDI PELL in 1998 appearing on the German guitar hero's 'Oceans Of Time' album.

Doernberg evolved matters into a further solo outing now titled STORYTELLER'S RAIN for a 2000 album.

Doernberg guested on pedal steel guitar on POWERGOD's cover version of ANVIL's 'Motormount' for inclusion on their 'Long Live The Loud – That's Metal Lesson II' released through Massacre Records in July 2005. Doernberg joined the live band of fabled ex-SCORPIONS guitarist ULI JON ROTH for live work later that year and also sessioned on German Heavy Metal band CODE OF PERFECTION's debut album 'Last Exit For The Lost'.

May 2006 found Doernberg playing shows in the USA in guitarist WARREN DI MARTINI's band. The keyboard maestro had also joined forces with a fresh, high profile project billed EDEN'S CURSE, an international melodic Rock outfit initiated by CRY HAVOC bassist Paul Logue with US vocalist Michael Eden and featuring THE SHOCK, Paul Dianno's KILLERS and THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND credited drummer Pete Newdeck plus German guitarist Thorsten Koehne, of ATTACK, DEMON DRIVE and CODE OF PERFECTION repute.
