One of the better known internationally bands the strangely titled ANYONE'S DAUGHTER were one of the leading lights of the 70's German Progressive Rock scene. The band's breakthrough came with the hit 'Moria', a number that achieved a good deal of airplay in Germany. But, despite the band showing an increasing degree of commercialism in their music in an attempt to exploit such new found fame real success eluded them and the group opted to perform their material more and more in German.

The band split up in the mid 80s and, despite attempts by several record labels to resurrect the group the four-piece no longer got along on a personal level by this point, thus nothing came of a reunion. Frontman Harald Bareth has since performed on albums by INES.
