A London based Hard Rock quartet, SOLE ASYLUM's bassist Billy Kulke was previously with WEAPON, the LISA DOMINIQUE band, JAGGED EDGE, PASSION and FIRST STRIKE. Vocalist John Phillips had played with AMSTERDAM in the past. SOLE ASYLUM released two critically acclaimed demos in the early 90s, backed up by a self-financed video for the track 'Slave To Passion'. In 1992 SOLE ASYLUM drafted ex-LA PAZ and MIDNIGHT BLUE singer Doogie White, recording demos at Survival Studios in West London.

By the late 90's bassist Billy Kulke had resurrected himself as 'Robert Plant' in the LED ZEPPELIN tribute band LET'S ZEP. White went on to found the short lived CHAIN, fronted PRAYING MANTIS for a Japanese tour, head RAINBOW for the 'Stranger In Us All' album, before terms with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and CORNERSTONE.

Doogie White joined the ranks of NWoBHM band TANK in December 2008.
