Toulouse Black Metal duo NUIT NOIRE, founded in 1997, comprises former DARVULIA member Akhron on lead vocals and drums with Tenebras handling guitar and bass. NUIT NOIRE, following their inaugural 'Dans La Nuit' demo, shared a further 1998 demo with ARKHAM on the Dark Supremacy label. The 'L'Appel De La Nuit' session arrived in March 1999, followed by 'Once Upon A Night' in 2000. The latter tape, limited to 300 copies, would be distributed through Drakkar Productions.

In 2002 Drakkar issued the 7" single 'Luttina', restricting this release to 500 copies. More demos were delivered in 2002, 'Black Form' and 'Somewhere In the Nighpast', before NUIT NOIRE's debut full length album 'Lunar Deflagration' on the Creations Of The Night label in October 2004.
