NO RETURN

Biography

NO RETURN went under the title of EVIL POWER from their formation in Paris during 1984 before changing titles to NO RETURN in 1988. The debut album 'Psychological Torment', featuring original vocalist Phil, was produced by CORONER's Marquis Marky. Following its release, NO RETURN toured supporting SACRED REICH, DARK ANGEL, SODOM and EXHORDER.

A new frontman in Tanguay was found in time for the second album 'Contamination Rises' recorded in Florida and produced by Tom Morris. The band made a return in 2000 with the album 'Self Mutilation'. The band line up at this juncture comprised singer Steeve "Zuul" Petit, guitarists Alain Clement and Benoît Antonia, bassist Olivia Scemama and drummer Didier Le Baron. During March of 2002 NO RETURN announced a license with the Nuclear Blast label for the 2002 album 'Machinary'.

NO RETURN parted ways with keyboard player Malko Pouchin in February 2003. That same July singer Steeve Petit exited in order to concentrate on his solo project ZUUL FX.

Olivia Scemama announced the formation of side venture PHAZM in mid 2003, the bassist working in union with the SCARVE triumvirate of singer Pierrick Valence, guitarist Sylvain Coudret and drummer Dirk Verbeuren. Scemama also gained credits with Black Metal band BALROG and GARWALL and in December 2005 joined Belgian Death Metal act ABORTED.

An eponymous NO RETURN album, recorded at Dru Nemeton Studio, surfaced in January 2006 via Season Of Mist. These sessions were laid down by Moreno Grosso, Alain Clement plus new faces guitarist Benoît Antonia, bassist Jiu, keyboard player Malko Pouchin and drummer Dirk Verbeuren. That May the group toured Europe packaged with DESTINITY and Poles DECAPITATED. Subsequently the KORUM pairing of guitarist Nicolas Coudert and drummer Boban Tomic, plus bass player David Barbosa, were inducted. Antonia also has association with DRȪYS whilst Tomic has ties to FATAL and FOREST IN BLOOD.
