Biography

Paris based LETHIAN DREAMS, founded in 2002 by female vocalist / lead guitarist Kyrinla (Carline Van Roos) and male vocalist / rhythm guitarist Lethe (Mattieu Sachs) in 2002, were first operational as DYING WISH. This duo would also be operational with another Doom project, REMEMBRANCE.

The demo 'Mournful Whispers' arrived in 2003. Female bassist Kweletsy was added in June and in August of that year the group inducted the MISLEAD, FOGZARD and INBORN SUFFERING credited keyboard player Darkened (Sebastien Pierre). Last in would be drummer Valtyr that September. In January of 2004 Kweletsy quit, being replaced by ABYSMAL ABHORRENTIA, NINGIZZIA and INBORN SUFFERING's Stéphane Peudupin (a.k.a. 'Theli'). That year a second demo set, 'Lost In Grief', emerged.

Maintaining their positions in LETHIAN DREAMS, both Carline Van Roos and Matthieu Sachs would join Belgian act IN SOMNIS during July 2004. Seb exited in December. A new singer, Sephi, was introduced in January 2005. However, he was soon usurped by Carlos D'Agua, of Portuguese acts EVISCERATION, BEFORE THE RAIN and SCULPTURE. This trio cut the self-financed album 'Requiem For My Soul, Eternal Rest For My Heart'.

Yet more membership changes in 2006 marked the introduction of bassist Eowyn, of ALYSS and LUX INCERTA, plus drummer Antoine.

In November 2007 UK label Paradigm Recordings issued the 'Doppelganger' debut album from Carline Van Roos' solo concept AYTHIS.
