South of France Grindcore act. Mandelieu based IMPERIAL SODOMY comprise BELEF personnel vocalist Mordred (a.k.a. Morrdrëd), guitarist Mordrir and drummer Orifist (Romain Goulon). The latter also operated as drummer for AGRESSOR. Founded during 1997 the initial formation counted vocalist Ikkar, guitarist Reek, bassist Disaster and drummer Gorgor. This line-up produced the 1998 self financed EP 'Piss Of Love'. Bluargh was introduced on second guitar as Disaster took the lead vocal role. Signing to Criminal Records the 'Tormenting The Pacifist' album emerged in 2001, after which Orifist usurped Gorgor. A new demo, entitled 'Suffering', emerged in 2003.

Musically the band credited themselves as Mordred "Hammer drill barbecue", Mordrir "Six strings grind panzer", Bleuargh "Six strings extrem BTP", Blasphomet "Hateful tractor axe" and Orifist "Eternal sub-machine gun".

The band readied a second album, 'Demolished', for issue through Diamond Productions in 2004. Romain Goulon, also having ties to DISHARMONY and KAOTEON, joined Progressive Metal band KRYSALYD in early 2005. Orifist temporarily manned the drums for SCAVENGOURS that same year.
