Quimper, Britanny's ANAON deal in symphonic Black Metal with strong Celtic lyrical influences. Founded by vocalist Gwallum during 1992 ANAON issued the 1994 'Frosty Breath For Devil' demo, 1995 demo 'An Harar Hag Ar Stered', featuring guitarist Dagon, bass player Mallozh and Nozelene on keyboards, and a 1996 Breton language follow up 'Tennvalisenn', the very first release through Drakkar Productions, before issuing the 'Les Rites De Cromlech' mini-album, again on Drakkar. Drummer Dirk Verbeuren, a veteran of S.P.I.T., MELTDOWN and SHRED, is heavily in demand, maintaining a hectic schedule as permanent member of SCARVE, laying down session drums for MORTUARY's 'Agony In Red', LYZANXIA's 'Mindcrimes', ABORTED's 'Goremageddon' as well as for EOSTENEM. In 2003 the man was sessioning for Israeli band ETERNAL GRAY and adding to his list of bands with HEADLINE and PHAZM.

In 2003 Dirk Verbeuren, bassist Stenval and guitarist Alan Lee Roy united with the SCARVE pairing of singer Pierrick Valence and guitarist Sylvain Coudret for a Celtic Metal endeavour entitled STENVAL. With some degree of international repute behind him Dirk Verbeuren teamed up as stand in for acclaimed Swedish act SOILWORK for their February 2004 European tour dates. Verbeuren then stepped in as substitute drummer for Belgian gore-mongers ABORTED's live dates.
