Turku Thrash Metal band DECEIVER featured drummer Harri Hakala, having scene ties to ANNIHILATUS, VORDVEN, LUCIFERASE, ENERCHY, PILGRIMS FROM TARTARUS and RILKÁ. The first DECEIVER product, the 'Mary's Last Prayer' 7" EP, arrived in 1991. a succession of demos followed including 'Eternal Massacre' in November 1992, recorded at Air-Raid Shelter Studio in Raisio. Following up would be 'Raped Classics', comprising such eclectic covers as the DEAD KENNEDYS 'Too Drunk To Fuck', SEX PISTOLS 'God Save The Queen', METALLICA's 'Enter Sandman', GUNS N' ROSES 'Paradise City', PARADISE LOST's 'Eternal', TERVEET KÄDET's 'Tornion Kevät', NAPALM DEATH's 'Deceiver' and NIRVANA's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', plus 'Rules Of Conduct', both issued in 1993. The nine track 'Nocturnal Death' session arrived in January 1994.
