Tampere Thrashers MURDREAD, created in late 1999 by guitarist Tom Gardiner, from SCORCHED EARTH TACTICS, and vocalist / guitarist Jaakko Talvitie with a subsequent addition of SNAKEGOD drummer Christian Määttä, debuted with a two track demo cut at Kuolio Studios in mid 2002. The group initially employed Miikka Hietanen on bass before he left to found SECURITY THREAT. In January 2004 Hietanen returned to the fold as stand in bassist. MURDREAD released the demo 'Dawn Of The Dead' in 2004.
