Biography

Founded in Suolahti during 1998 by former IRON MAIDEN cover band musicians MACHINE MEN debuted with the 1999 demo 'Through My Tomb'. Following recording of a second demo the band was put into suspension in mid 2000 as vocalist Toni Parviainen, drummer Jarno Parantainen and bass player Eero VehniƤinen all undertook their compulsory national service duties. A return to action in 2001 witnessed the inclusion of the track 'Failed Trick' on a compilation album and the cutting of a third demo.

MACHINE MEN's eponymous five track 2003 EP closed out with a cover of IRON MAIDEN's 'Aces High'. The band's debut album 'Scars And Wounds' surfaced in March 2004 through the Japanese Avalon Marquee label. The July 2005 follow up, entitled 'Elegies', was recorded by THUNDERSTONE's Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios and mastered at the renowned Finnvox Studios. The album included a cover version of BRUCE DICKINSON's 'Freak'. MACHINE MEN shot a video for the song 'No Talk Without The Giant' on December 17th 2006.

MACHINE MEN put in an extensive round of Finnish club dates in early 2007. Concerts projected for 2007, commencing at the Antwerp Hof Ter Loo venue on April 27th, were announced as the 'Earthshaker Roadshock' tour in union with AFTER FOREVER, TAROT, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, FINNTROLL and ALL ENDS.

MACHINE MEN issued the single 'No Talk Without The Giant', which included two non-album tracks, in January 2007.
