ULTIMATIUM, hailing from the Kajaani / Oulu region and founded during 2001, was originally fronted by JT Partanen from TWO HORN UNICORN. The group issued the demos 'Call Of The Twilight' in 2001, 'End Of Darkness' in 2002 and 'Follow The Star' in 2003. Mastervox Records signed the band for the September 2004 Immu Ilmarinen produced album 'New Dawn'.

ULTIMATIUM's second album, 'Hwainoo', was released in April 2008 via Mastervox Records. Japanese editions added the extra song 'Heaven For Us'.

In January 2009 the band introduced new members bassist Mikko Hepo-Oja, ex-CATAMENIA, and second guitarist Sauli Jauhiainen.
