Biography

Oulu's REFLEXION features vocalist Juha Kylmänen of FOR MY PAIN and ex-TO/DIE/FOR, the band debuting with a song demo 'Journey To Tragedy' recorded in early 2003 at Soundmix studio in Oulu. The group's origins tracked back as far as 1995 when, under a title of ENCHANTED, Kylmänen performed alongside drummer Raymond Pohjola. A demo, 'Blackness And Moonlight', arrived in 1997. ENCHANTED reached the finals of a nation Finnish Rock competition in 1999 but adopted the new title of REFLEXION the following year, the band also scoring exposure when their music was used as the theme title for snowboarding movie 'Extreme Radical'.

Kylmänen joined the ranks of FOR MY PAIN in 2001 whilst keyboard player Antti Pikkarainen enrolled himself into SENTENCED for their 'Cold White Light' tour.

Antti Pikkarainen and bassist Petteri Lehtola both exited that same year, being replaced by Mikko Uusimaa on bass whilst POISONBLACK's Marco Sneck was installed on keyboards. Signing to Scandinavian A1 Music, REFLEXION cut a debut album at Soundtrack Studios in Helsinki for 2005 issue. A single, 'Undying Dreams', emerged in September, entering the Finnish charts at no. 13.

Kalle Ruumensaari from DARK FLOOD acted as stand in live guitarist for REFLEXION in July 2006. In September Mikko Uusimaa acted as stand in live bassist for SOULRELIC, covering for an injured Pekka Talala.
