IGNIS FATUUS is an Oulu based Progressive Metal band dating to 1992. Initially the band was fronted by BLIND ALLEY's Petri Kangas. Other formative band members included bassist Timo Mustonen and guitarists Timo Halonen and Alexi Ranta, the latter finding a higher profile with THE BLACK LEAGUE. Band associations include guitarist Jarno Juntunen being an ex-DAWN OF RELIC member, second guitarist Lauri Jounela having ties to IMAGERY whilst drummer Ilkka Harjula has ties to SCARLET THREAD and BLIND ALLEY.
