Lahti Death Metal combo EVOKED CURSE are fronted by vocalist Orgasmatron (a.k.a. Henry Juvonen) of WITCHTIGER and EVIL ANGEL. The band claims a tradition stretching back to a 1989 formation by guitarist Necrophiliac (a.k.a. 'Fiend' or more commonly Harri Juvonen), a musician holding scene credits with acts such as WITCHTIGER, TRISTITIA, PAGAN RITES, GOATSODOMY and DEVIL LEE ROT. Formative band rosters included a session rhythm section of bassist Tooloud, from GOATSODOMY and EVIL ANGEL, plus drummer Deathskull. EVOKED CURSE subsequently enrolled drummer Imperator (a.k.a. Ilmari Jalas) of SLUGATHOR, ANXIOUS DEATH and WITCHTIGER repute.

First product would be February 1999's demo 'Outburst Of Hell', recorded by Orgasmatron and Fiend. 'Altar Of Sodomy', including a cover version of HELLHAMMER's 'Reaper', arrived in 2000, these tracks recorded with drummer Deathskull. 2002's 'Cursed Unholy Mausoleum' found Imperator manning the drums. EVOKED CURSE published a fourth demo, 'Merciless Revenge' restricted to 50 copies, in 2004.

Three band members, singer H. Necrophiliac Ju Von Nen, bassist Tooloud and drummer Imperator, forged the 2006 Black Metal band SATANIC TORMENT in alliance with guitarist Kaosbringer, of NEUTRON HAMMER, SACRIFICIAL DAGGER and SYȪPÄ.
