Biography

A solo venture engineered by Mikko Aspa delivering minimalist raw Black Metal. The initial 1998 demo, released in only 100 copies, included a thoughtful inclusion of burnt bible pages. Taking the conjcept one step further vinyl versions of the debut album 'Fire Burns In Our Hearts' on End All Life Records would include instructions on how to manufacture a fire bomb - complete with legal disclaimer.

CLANDESTINE BLAZE would share their 2001 album, a limited run of 300 pressings, with French Satanists DEATHSPELL OMEGA. A series of demos then ensued with 'There Comes The Day...' in 2001 with 'Below The Surface Of Cold Earth' and 'Blood And Cum' both issued the following year upfront of the 'Fist Of The Northern Destroyer' album.

CLANDESTINE BLAZE included a track on the Northern Heritage 10", six way split EP 'Primitive Finland' of 2003 alongside ANNIHILATUS, INCRIMINATED, BAPTISM, BLOODHAMMER and BLASPHEMOUS EVIL.

Drummer Mikko Aspa holds a swathe of scene credits with artists such as IRRITATE, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, MORBID SAVOURING, GRUNT, STABAT MATER, NICOLE 12, CLINIC OF TORTURE, CREAMFACE and FLESHPRESS repute.
